A classic, wide grained cut well suited to low and slow cooking.
This cut is leaner than most beef roasting joints. In stews, be sure to keep it topped up with liquid and baste regularly if roasting.
A 1kg joint(approx 2lb) will feed 3-4, we suggest roughly 8oz (250g) per person.
Pot roast in oven at Gas Mark 4-5 /180ºC/350ºF for 30 - 40 minutes per 0.45kg (1lb), then add an additional 30 - 40 minutes.
