    I’m not sure this would work, but I’d try boiling it and coouuntnisly dumping out the salty water.The easiest approach probably is to get another 5 pounds or so of elk meat and mix it in with your chopped up salty sausage. Or you could eat it with foods you normally add salt to (e.g., soup, eggs)
